She also considers it a reflection of strong collaborative relationship between SUBEB and EDSOGPADEC. “I would like to use this opportunity to also appreciate the Chairman of Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC), Pastor Kennedy Osifo and his Board members for the fruitful collaboration”, she noted.
The Chairman of EDSOGPADEC during an interview session, pledged his commission’s support towards the Edo BEST Initiative through a working partnership with Edo SUBEB. Pastor Osifo made this pledge while acknowledging the approval of the construction and renovation of primary schools in the 33 oil and gas producing communities.
In recognition of the developmental strides of the Governor Godwin Obaseki administration, he noted, “I am proud to be identified with the giant developmental strides of Edo SUBEB piloted by Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe as envisioned by Governor Godwin Obaseki”.
In furtherance of a more productive and collaborative partnership, EDSOPADEC hopes to accompany SUBEB for a routine monitoring of Edo BEST schools in the 33 communities to ascertain the level of impact as basic education remains a veritable medium for economic development and societal growth and should therefore be given the necessary attention.
Key to Governor Godwin Obaseki administration, is the provision of quality education for pupils of public schools within the State. All efforts therefore, present or prospective, by the State Government in revamping the basic education sub-sector, is geared towards achieving that objective.
Edo BEST provides quality education for every child.
