Eguare Primary school established in the year 1918 celebrates her centenary year 18th May 2018 at the school compound.
In attendance were the Ag. Chairman SUBEB Dr Joan Osa Oviawe, His Royal highness ‘Zaiki Ehizogie Eluojierior 1′ the Onojie of Igueben, Local Government Chairman represented by the Secretary, Hon. John Inegbedion, Councillors, Old Pupils Association Members, P.T.A, National N.U.T Secretary, Education Secretaries, Teachers, Chief Barrister Felix Omi Imiosili and pupils.
Activities to mark the Centenary celebration include March past by Host school and invited schools, debate by pupils of the school, topic buttresses on ‘causes of child abuse’ and some intriguing showcases by the Host school cultural troops.
Highlight of event was the presentation of centenary portrait to the school by Ag. Chairman SUBEB. Others include donations made by invited guest and the first female Teacher presenting over 700 books to pupils and teachers of the school.
Award of Honour was presented to the Ag. Chairman SUBEB, Dr Joan Oviawe by the Enogie of Igueben ‘Zaiki Eluojierior 1’ for a selfless service since her appointment to oversee the affairs of the State Basic Education Sector.
