The Basic Education Sector Transformation (Edo BEST) Teachers Professional Development Training, which held at the Sam Ogbemudia Model College (Former New Era College), Upper Mission, Benin City, no doubt boosted the social and economic activities of the host environs with a mini-market to meet other needs of teachers in training.
The Edo BEST teachers training drew the immediate attention of traders right from the pilot phase I in April last year to the just concluded phase III which was succinctly in 3 waves of 6 weeks training.
The traders who were afforded the platform to showcase their commodities, thereby making profit from daily sales, extended their gratitude to Gov. Godwin Obaseki for training Edo State public primary school teachers and pleaded for its continuity.
Most of the traders testified making daily profits of between three thousand (3,000) and five thousand (5,000) Naira and appreciated the state government for creating the enabling environment for their businesses to flourish.
Edo BEST provides quality education for every child.
